Executive Principal · Acting for Stage & Film · Writing

Tasia

Tasia trained briefly at LAMDA in London (diploma level) and at Flinders Drama Centre (Bachelor of Arts). She received significant acting offers in her second year and went on to work in the Australian Indie Film Industry for 9 years, as both Actress and Producer — work that took her to Cannes, London, and St Tropez, where she was nominated for Best Actress at Antipodes Film Festival.

Later she turned to writing, and her work was picked up by an independent publishing house in the USA.

I do not at all disagree with the assessors who have compared your work to One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Girl Interrupted, and Shutter Island. I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say that your novel performs a real act of service… you are genuinely talented.”

— Elizabeth Bruce, previous Acquisition Editor, Picador / USA / Macmillan Publishers

Tasia withdrew from the publishing offer when her young daughter developed a stage 4 brain tumour. She has chosen to dedicate her life to young people in her daughter’s memory and honour
